As Minnesotans finish up digging out from the recent bout of winter weather, cold air from the arctic moves in Sunday, dropping temperatures below zero.

A wind chill advisory is in effect for northwestern Minnesota from Sunday night into Tuesday morning as the wind chill drops to 25-35 below at times – a drastic change from last week's temperatures in the 20s and 30s.

The arctic front will move into the region Sunday night, with it comes drier air and sunshine, but bitter cold temperatures, the National Weather Service says. The coldest day looks like it'll be Tuesday, when temperatures struggle to get above zero and wind chills are expected to be in the 20 to 30 below zero range in the Twin Cities.

But there's a plus side to these chilly days – it comes with a lot of sunshine. KARE 11 says we'll "string together" a few days of sun to end 2014.

For those attending the Vikings game Sunday, remember there's a snow emergency in Minneapolis.
