A Bloomington man was killed at his home on Monday, and his wife arrested for probable cause murder.

Michael Carpenter, 53, died at Hennepin County Medical Center after earlier being injured in a domestic dispute at a property in the 10600 block of Utica Circle.

He was found unconscious by responders at 8 p.m., having suffered injuries to his upper body, Bloomington PD said on Tuesday.

His 51-year-old wife called police following the dispute, and she's now being held on probable cause murder charges at Bloomington Jail.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office said that Carpenter died from complications relating to "blunt force craniocerebral injuries."

BMTN does not usually name arrested suspects until they have been formally charged.
