Blue Plate's new North Loop restaurant to open in September
Blue Plate Restaurant Company has signed a lease with United Properties for a first-floor eatery in the historic Loose-Wiles building in Minneapolis, the Journal reports.
The 9,000-square-foot Loose-Wiles Freehouse will begin serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in September. It will also feature an on-site brewery and outdoor dining.
"This location has a hip, urban appeal with a perfect mix of downtown professionals and artists alike," Stephanie Shimp, a partner of Blue Plate Restaurant Company, said in a news release. "The North Loop is becoming 'restaurant-row' for foodies."
Blue Plate already has seven locations in the Twin Cities metro, including Highland Grill, Edina Grill, Longfellow Grill, Groveland Tap, 3 Squares, Scusi and The Lowry.
