Body found floating in Minnesota River in Shakopee is identified
The body that was found floating in the Minnesota River in Shakopee Dec. 3 has been identified as a Bloomington man.
Michael Timothy Erickson, 63, was identified Tuesday by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office. The Bloomington man's cause and manner of death is still under investigating, the medical examiner's report says.
Erickson was found in the river near Huber Park at 150 Fillmore St. N. around 12:20 p.m. Dec. 3.
“The investigation is in the very early stages, so we have very little information to share at this time," the Carver County Sheriff's Office announced the day of the discovery. "We will keep the public informed as we have further information.”
No further information has been released.
