Authorities find body in burning structure in Crow Wing County

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office and the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the incident.

Officials are investigating a Little Pine Township fire after a body was found in a burned "structure."

According to the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department, deputies, along with the Emily fire department, were dispatched to a fire at 24000 block of Co Rd 1 at around 4:17 a.m. Sunday.

It was there they found the body inside of the burned structure. What kind of structure was not revealed by police.

The body was transported to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office, which will identify the victim and their cause of death.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshal's Office and the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim’s identity is being withheld until the investigation is completed and family can be notified.
