Authorities have identified the man whose body was pulled from the Mississippi River beneath the I-35W bridge in Minneapolis last week.

The body of Rodulfo Sergio Jojola was recovered from the river at around noon on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office, he is 38 years old and is from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was found in the Mississippi River spillway under the bridge, and his cause of death has not yet been determined.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate the circumstances of his death.

It appears as though the same man appeared in a Washington County court in August on a 5th-degree drug charge, which according to the Forest Lake Times followed an investigation by the Forest Lake Police Department.
