Body found in holding pond IDed as man missing since November

The body of a man found in a pond near Target in Savage, Minnesota, has been identified as 39-year-old Martise Demond Windom, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner said Sunday night.

Windom, a youth basketball coach in Lakeville, was last seen Nov. 7 leaving his home on foot and his body wasn't discovered until Friday.

The holding pond behind the Target is less than a mile from Windom's home, according to the Savage Pacer.

The cause and manner of Windom's death is being investigated by medical examiner and the Savage Police Department.
