Authorities searching for a man who went missing from his adult foster care home earlier this month have found a body nearby.

Julian Decoux, 34, of Duluth, sparked searches earlier this month when he was reported missing from his care home in Canosia Township on Sunday, May 5.

Decoux has been a resident of the home for several years and had previously eloped from the home, but police said he hadn't been gone for this long before.

Drones and canines were used in the search for him, but it proved fruitless until Wednesday, when a body was found in Canosia Township.

The discovery was made in a wooded area 2 miles west of the group home. The body was found about 30 yards off of Castle Road, not far from the Canosia State Wildlife Management Area.

Positive identification will be made by the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office, though the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says "due to the circumstances, [we] believe the remains are likely Julian Decoux."

Foul play is not suspected in his death.
