The Star Tribune reports that the body found Monday near Lonsdale, Minn., is that of missing University of Minnesota student Anarae Schunk, investigators say.

Schunk's parents provided their daughter’s dental records to Rosemount Police after a body was discovered Monday in a roadside ditch near Lonsdale, roughly 50 miles south of the Twin Cities.

The latest development in the case came two days after police told Schunk's parents that their daughter was likely dead. It was later disclosed that Schunk's bloodied jacket was found with 18 to 20 puncture marks, suggesting evidence of stabbing wounds.

Despite the news, family members and friends had continued searching for the woman.

Schunk, 20, went missing Sept. 22 after apparently leaving Nina’s Grill in Burnsville, where she was seen with her ex-boyfriend, Anthony Lee Nelson, aka Shavelle Chavez-Nelson, and the man’s current girlfriend, Ashley Marie Conrade. Nelson is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Palagor Jobi, 23, who died that night at the bar.

Family members had said Schunk was trying to get back $5,000 she had loaned Nelson.
