A body found lying on a St. Paul road Friday night is believed to be a victim of a hit-and-run.
Saint Paul Police Department said it was at the scene of an "apparent fatal hit-and-run" close to the intersection fo N. McKnight Road and Margaret St., saying a passersby found the man's body on the southbound lane of McKnight Road.
"Evidence at the scene indicates he was a pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle," St. Paul PD said.
The roadway was closed for several hours Friday night as investigators worked the scene.
The man's identity and official cause of death have not been announced. No further information is currently available.
