The search for a man who went missing on Forest Lake following a water emergency on Sunday has ended.
The man's body was recovered from the north metro suburban lake on Wednesday, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. The man went missing around 4:40 p.m. Sunday.
A search team looked for the man until midnight Sunday and continued searching this week.
Officials have not identified the man. According to the Pioneer Press, the victim was a 63-year-old Hugo man who lost his grip on the side of a pontoon while swimming and the wind pushed the boat out of his reach.
In 2019, there were 10 boating fatalities and 35 non-boating drownings reported in Minnesota, according to the Minnesota DNR's website.
