The body of a 22-year-old University of Minnesota, Duluth student was found in a creek not far from campus Saturday afternoon.

The man's body was found floating in the creek near Chester Park Drive and Eighth Street around 1:15 p.m., according to the Duluth News Tribune.

Authorities identified him Sunday morning as Kyle Noble of Baudette, the newspaper reports. Officials haven't said how long he may have been in the water, but they don't believe his death is suspicious.

A resident who has lived in the area for 20 years told Northland's NewsCenter incidents like this have happened half a dozen times since he's lived there.

"It's been a problem for years, since I've lived here. People falling, people jumping – college kids with too much to drink. You see all of the firetrucks on the bridge, and you say 'oh my gosh, not again'," Mike Hampston told the news station.

A UMD student was found dead in the same area in 2004, the Duluth News Tribune says. Investigators believe he likely fell from a 40-foot cliff in the area.
