The identity of a man who died in Lake George in Anoka County on Sunday has been identified as Scott Randolph-Stephen Fox, 53, of Oak Grove.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office identified Fox as the victim on Monday, a little more than 24 hours after the body of an adult male was recovered from Lake George in Oak Grove by the Anoka County Sheriff's Office Marine Unit.

Search teams began looking for the man on Saturday afternoon, with authorities saying he was believed to have taken off his life jacket and gone swimming near a boat before going under.

The incident remains under investigation by the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.

Lake George Regional Park is found along the north shore of Lake George, which includes a swimming beach, a picnic pavilion, and a boat launch.
