All clear after bomb threat prompts evacuation of TCF Bank Stadium

A bomb threat that prompted the evacuation of TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis Thursday afternoon has been ruled all clear. 

An alert from the University of Minnesota Police Department was issued at 1:29 p.m. and said the department was investigating the bomb threat and that the building was being evacuated. 

"Please stay away from the area," the department said, announced around 2:30 p.m. that a sweep of the building found no threat. 

According to FOX9, the Gopher football team was not at the stadium at the time of the threat. The Gophers host the Iowa Hawkeyes at TCF Bank Stadium on Friday night.
