Boston man reported missing weeks ago found dead in Taylors Falls
A 59-year-old Boston man who'd been reported missing three weeks ago was found dead in eastern Minnesota.
A person out on a walk Tuesday evening found the body in a wooded area of Taylors Falls, the Chisago County Sheriff's Office said. Authorities recovered the remains, and the medical examiner the following day identified the deceased as Richard Jacobus.
The sheriff's office said it appears Jacobus took his own life.
Jacobus was the subject of an active missing persons case, the sheriff's office said. On Aug. 9, he left the Milwaukee area (where he'd traveled from his home in Boston) and was supposed to be on his way to Rochester.
He never showed up, and six days later his vehicle was found in Taylors Falls.
