One of the victims of a shooting in Minneapolis on Monday was a 15-year-old boy.
Jaden M. Blackmon was identified Wednesday by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office, which says the 15-year-old died of a gunshot wound to the chest just after 2 a.m. April 12.
Blackmon was in a vehicle with 35-year-old Ahmed M. Badal, of Minneapolis, who was also fatally shot after a two-vehicle crash on South 14th Avenue at East 28th Street in south Minneapolis.
Blackmon died at the scene of the crash, while the medical examiner reports that Badal died just north of East 29th Street, near the crash site.
Minneapolis police responded to the crash in the Phillips neighborhood of south Minneapolis just after 2 a.m. Monday, and officers at the scene found one vehicle empty while Blackmon was found dead from a gunshot wound in the other vehicle.
Badal was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the middle of the road just north of the crash site, police said. First responders tried to save his life but he died at the scene.
