Boy, 4, critical after drowning incident at Minneapolis hotel
A four-year-old boy is in a critical condition at Hennepin County Medical Center after he was found unresponsive in a pool at a downtown Minneapolis hotel.
The incident was reported at 2:30 p.m., with the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office among the agencies responding to the scene at the Best Western Normandy Inn and Suites, at 405 8th St.
The Minneapolis police and fire departments were also sent to the scene along with paramedics from HCMC.
Per the sheriff's office: "A four-year-old boy had been removed from the hotel pool and was unresponsive. MPD, MFD and HCMC paramedics performed CPR on scene. The boy was taken by ambulance to HCMC where he is in critical condition.
The incident is under investigation by the sheriff's office water patrol unit.
