Boy, 9, found safe after going missing near Mississippi River in St. Cloud

St. Cloud police say the boy was found safe at a friend's house. No further information has been released.

A missing 9-year-old boy is the subject of a search in St. Cloud Thursday afternoon. 

St. Cloud police said Lowell McClure was last season around 1:45 p.m. fishing with his brother near the Mississippi River dam near Munsinger Gardens. 

McClure was wearing gray shorts, a blue Superman T-shirt with a gray Old Navy sweatshirt and is described as being 4-foot-5 and approximately 70 pounds. 

K-9 teams are searcihng the area, for that reason police don't want the public in the area as it can throw off the dogs.
