A boy critically injured when the dirt bike he was riding was in a collision with a pickup truck in Andover has died.
The Anoka County Sheriff's Office issued Sunday an update to the crash, saying that the boy was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon at Hennepin County Medical Center.
The collision happened just after 3:30 p.m. Saturday on the 2700 block of 172nd Avenue NW.
When responders arrived, they found the boy critical and unconscious.
"Early indications show a Ford F350 truck driven by an adult male crashed head on with a dirt bike driven by a juvenile male on 172nd Avenue NW," the sheriff's office said.
The incident remains under investigation. The boy's identity has not been released.
