Boy injured in a hit-and-run while out trick-or-treating

A boy was hit by a vehicle while trick-or-treating Saturday night in Robbinsdale, and now police are asking for the public's help locating the driver. 

According to the Robbinsdale Police Department, officers responded to the 600 block of Abbott Avenue North around 8:41 p.m. on a report of someone who was hit by a car. 

When officers arrived, they learned a boy was getting out of a vehicle to trick-or-treat when he was hit by a vehicle. Witnesses at the scene said the vehicle that hit the boy was possibly a black sports car, such as a Maserati or something similar. 

The boy was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

No one has been arrested in connection to the incident. Anyone who has information about what happened is asked to call police at 763-531-1220.

No other details about the victim or the incident have been released.
