A 77-year-old man died at a northern Minnesota shooting range from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as Henry Plummer Thomas of Brainerd, is said to have used a handgun he rented from Bill's Gun Shop & Range in Baxter to shoot himself.
In a press release, Baxter police said he was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
His body has been taken to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police continue to investigate, but say no foul play is suspected.
The Forum News Service reports police are looking into whether Thomas had used the gun shop before, and how long he'd been there before the shooting.
It adds that the gun shop has an indoor range with 17 shooting lanes. Customers can rent a firearm from the store or bring their own, and they're monitored by staff.
