Paul Bunyan will reveal his facelift to fans at the Brainerd Lakes Area Welcome Center Monday, the Brainerd Dispatch reported.

The statue of the legendary lumberjack was recently restored after six years and thousands of climbing visitors.

Work on the statue began last month. The welcome center said an estimated 133,000 visitors have come through its doors this year, and many of them climb on the statue.

The welcome center expects Paul Bunyan's facelift to last about eight years before the statue needs to be refurbished again, the Brainerd Dispatch reported.
