"At 10:54 the Wright County Sheriff's Office communication's center received a call from the 700 block of Crossroads Campus Drive in the City of Buffalo for a report of shots fired. Law Enforcement units from the Buffalo Police Department and the Wright County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene. A suspect has been apprehended. The location was evacuated, and several people were transported to area hospitals for injuries. The public is being asked to stay out of the area as multiple Law Enforcement agencies and Emergency vehicles are still in the area. Schools within the area were placed on temporary lockdown as a precautionary measure."

FOX 9 is reporting there are 4 scenes in Buffalo where authorities are at: The Allina clinic, the local hospital where victims were taken, a Super 8 Motel, and a residential street which is now being cordoned off for as-yet unknown reasons.

2 P.M. – Gov. Walz speaks

Speaking at a pre-arranged press conference, Gov. Tim Walz has commented on the "tragic" situation at Buffalo Crossroads.

He also confirms that "improvised explosive devices" were involved in the attack at the clinic, which he says appears to have been carried out by a "single individual."

At this stage, Walz says he doesn't have any confirmed casualty numbers.

He also shared his thoughts and prayers for those involved, as well as the first responders and law enforcement at the scene, and thanked the Buffalo Police Department, Wright County Sheriff's Office, and Buffalo Mayor Teri Lachermeier, with whom he has been in contact.

1:55 P.M.

FOX 9, which is reporting from the scene, says that the male suspect taken into custody is an "older individual."

There remains uncertainty over whether there were any bombs found or detonated in the incident.

More is expected to be released at 3 p.m., when a press conference is held at Wright County Government Center.

1:40 P.M.

U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer, whose 6th District includes Buffalo, tweeted this earlier:

1:10 P.M.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is expected to address the shooting and bombing at the Allina clinic at his already-planned 2 p.m. news conference.

The Star Tribune, citing dispatch audio not yet official confirmed, is reporting that one victim – a woman – was flown by air ambulance to a hospital after suffering three gunshot wounds.

The newspaper also notes that a bomb went off in the family medicine and urgent care clinic. Again, this is yet to be confirmed.

1 P.M.

As well as a possible bomb inside the clinic, dispatch audio also suggests there was a bomb threat at the Super 8 Motel in Buffalo, about a mile away from the Allina clinic.

Reporters at the scene show police, ambulances, and fire services currently at the Super 8.

12:45 P.M.

Multiple people have been injured in a reported shooting and bombing incident at an Allina Health clinic in Buffalo, Minnesota.

The incident happened at the clinic at 755 Crossroads Campus Drive, and was reported just before 11 a.m. The Wright County Sheriff's Office said the incident had been contained by 11:42 a.m. with the suspected shooter taken into custody.

But the AP reports that there are multiple victims from the incident, which involved gunfire and as-yet unconfirmed reports of possible bombs being detonated.

An Allina spokesman told  Bring Me The News there was a shooter at the clinic, but deferred all further comment to local police.

Dispatch audio that has not been confirmed by an official police source indicates there up to five people wounded, at least one suffering critical injuries. Numerous medical helicopters and ambulances were called.

This is from Wright County Journal-Press sports editor Robert LaPlante.

There have also been reports of one or more bomb threats in the area as well as reported of explosives going off. Dispatch audio said authorities were waiting on the Minneapolis Bomb Squad to clear a device in a the front entryway area of the clinic. Again, there is no official confirmation on this.

Local schools have been placed on lockdown as the situation develops at the urgent care clinic.

People are being asked to avoid the area, with law enforcement having closed down the frontage road alongside the Wells Fargo Bank near the clinic.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), the FBI, and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) are headed to the scene to investigate.
