Brooklyn Park shooting leaves 2 injured

Two victims sustained non-life threatening injuries during the Monday evening incident.

Brooklyn Park Police Department officers responded to a shooting on the 6300 block of County Road 81 Monday evening.

At around 7:30 p.m., officers arrived at the scene to find two victims with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. The victims were transported to the hospital, and the injuries are non-life threatening.

Reports based on police scanner traffic state the victims were juvenile males.

The initial investigation indicates the victims were being followed by the suspects, who fired at the vehicle before fleeing the scene, according to the Brooklyn Park Police Department. Police believe the incident was not random, and it continues to be under investigation.
