A Fargo man died in an ATV crash while he was looking for his brother, who had moments earlier died in a separate ATV crash.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the double tragedy happened on Friday evening west of Valley City in Barnes County, west of Fargo.

Kyle Foster, 43, of Tuscon, Arizona, was killed when he rolled his ATV into a slough on a gravel road between 106th and 107th SE.

Jeremie Foster, 47, of Fargo, was ahead of him at the time and began retracing his route when he realized his younger brother wasn't with him.

As he was on his way back along the gravel road, he rolled into a ditch between 29th and 30th Streets SE.

Kyle Foster was pronounced dead at the scene by responders, with Jeremie Foster dying later at a nearby hospital.

The highway patrol said that alcohol is a factor in both crashes.
