Buy a truck, get a shotgun at Minnesota dealership

Muscatell-Burns Ford dealership in Hawley, Minnesota is enticing truck buyers with a unique promotion.

The dealership's deal is deemed the "outdoorsman sale" – buy any F-Series truck, new or used, between March 1 and 14 you receive a free shotgun. The dealership says they "have an overstock of trucks and we're looking to start this spring off with a bang!" according to its website.

Sales Manager Jason Jalbert told KFGO most of the dealership's employees hunt and fish, and it's almost always a topic of conversation with customers.

The dealership is working with a licensed gun dealer in Fargo, North Dakota, to complete the transaction, according to the dealership's website. Anyone who wants a shotgun with the purchase of a truck must undergo the required background check.

This isn't the first time a gun has been offered as a free gift with the purchase of a product: A Montana Radio Shack offered a free gun or pizza with new satellite subscribers; a 'Second Amendment sale' in Alabama offered a free gun with car purchase; and a Georgia jeweler offered a free gun with the purchase of a diamond.
