Bystanders' 'heroic actions' save 3 people from burning car in Isanti County

The car hit a power box and burst into flames.

Details are limited, but the Isanti County Sheriff's Office says three people survived a crash thanks to the heroic actions of bystanders. 

The crash happened Friday morning when a car slammed into a power box at County Road 9 and County 18 North, knocking out power in the area and starting the car on fire. The sheriff's office says "thanks to the heroic actions of three bystanders, the three people involve in this crash will survive with minor to serious injuries." 

More information about the crash will be released on Monday, the sheriff's office notes. 

County Road 9 and County Road 18 North intersect southwest of North Branch, west if Interstate 34.
