Can you solve the mystery of where this boat came from?
You know when you put your drink on top of your car, forget about it, and then drive off? This is like that, except the drink is a boat.
The picture above shows what the Scott County Sheriff's Office was dealing with on Sunday, asking followers on Facebook if someone had "misplaced" their boat.
"The home owner got quite the surprise walking out to collect their newspaper this morning!" officials said.
All joking aside, given the state of the vessel it looks like the boat was dumped outside the home in New Market Township, rather than falling off of a trailer.
Police say they know it wasn't an accident, not least because the registration of the boat was spray-painted over.
Not very well though, with police able to figure out the license number and are now waiting to hear back from the last known owner.
Anyone with information should call the Scott County dispatch center.
Under Minnesota law, a vehicle can be considered abandoned and removed immediately by officers if they feel it's causing an accident or traffic hazard to the public.
They can also be impounded immediately if left on private property.
