A 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old women were transported to the hospital with injuries after the vehicle they were in struck a bear near Brainerd Friday night.
The State Patrol says the two people, both from Brainerd, were in a Hyundai Sante Fe and going northbound on Hwy. 25 near Ox Cart Trail when they struck a bear on the highway at 8:49 p.m.
"The Hyundai went off the road from the collision striking a tree and then overturned," the crash report says.
Both people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The condition of the bear is unknown.
