Car hits tree in Coon Rapids, killing the driver

The crash happened on Northdale Boulevard.

A woman was killed when her car crashed into a tree in Coon Rapids on Sunday evening. 

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office says the 57-year-old woman hit a tree just after 6 p.m. at Northdale Boulevard and Eagle Street. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

There were no other injuries or vehicles reported in the crash, which remains under investigation.
