The Brooklyn Center-based coffee retail chain has named Leigh Anne Snider as senior vice president of retail operations. She joins Caribou Coffee from YUM! Brands, where she was the first woman promoted to a chief operating officer position with the Kentucky-based company.

An official partnership hasn't been announced, but a secret store concept store may indicate there's a future deal between Brooklyn Center-based Caribou Coffee and J.C. Penny. The Dallas Business Journal reports several hundred analysts and investors got a glimpse at how J.C. Penny CEO Ron Johnson wants to transform the Dallas-based retail chain. The prototype included a coffee shop featuring Caribou Coffee.

Caribou Coffee announces deal with Rocket Club

Carlson names Rautio as new chief executive officer

The Minnetonka-based global hospitality and travel company has promoted Trudy Rautio as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. For the past eight years, Rautio has served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Carlson. She is replacing Hubert Joly who resigned to take the top job at Richfield-based Best Buy. Rautio is only the fifth chief executive of the 74-year-old hospitality and travel company.
