Two girls were arrested Saturday after fleeing police and crashing a stolen vehicle into house in north Minneapolis.

The incident unfolded at 12:28 p.m. after officers identified a vehicle that was stolen during an armed carjacking near North 33rd Avenue and North Newton Avenue. An attempt to stop the driver led to the driver fleeing, only to crash into the side of a house at Newton and 35th avenues.

No one was inside the house when the car launched into the side of it, causing significant damage.

Two girls, described by police as "juvenile females," were arrested at the scene.

Police did not say if either of the girls was injured.
