A Saturday memorial service in Minneapolis for Joan Mondale will be attended by friends, family and political notables including former President Jimmy Carter and Vice President Joe Biden, the Star Tribune reports.

Carter is expected to speak at the service for Mondale, who was the wife of his former Vice President Walter Mondale. Carter's wife Rosalynn and Biden's wife Jill are also expected to attend the service.

Viewers can watch the 12:30 p.m. Saturday service, which will be streamed live on the Westminster Presbyterian Church’s website.

Mondale died Monday at age 83. Her husband and two sons were with her, along with other family members, a family spokesman said.

Mondale, an Oregon native and Macalester College graduate, met her husband on a blind date, and they married in 1955. She has been widely hailed for being a champion of the arts, and affectionately known by the nickname "Joan of Art."

Mondale has also been remembered as a steadfast partner in her husband's political career, and the loving mother of three children: Ted, William and a daughter, Eleanor, who died in 2011 after a battle with brain cancer.

Among those offering condolences to the Mondale family were President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, the Associated Press reported. Obama praised Mondale for her contributions to arts and global understanding.

Former President Bill Clinton said Mondale was as "graceful in her role as our nation's Second Lady as she was unwavering in her support of art and artists."
