The cat reportedly dodged semitrucks and other vehicles while surviving on a deer carcass and water from a small pond. Authorities repeatedly tried and failed to trap the animal.

The charges stemming from the Aug. 31 incident include sexual conduct involving a victim under the age of 13. Police say he sexually assaulted juveniles.
