Police say officers arrived to a "very chaotic scene" after shots were fired at a rooftop bar in downtown Minneapolis.

Minneapolis PD says that the shootings happened at a building in the 800 block of Hennepin Avenue around 2 a.m., with a man and a woman found with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

They didn't identify the building where the shooting occurred, but posts on social media state that it happened in Crave Restaurant & Sushi Bar.

The fired shots sparked a panic inside the bar, with police arriving to find crowds of people fleeing the area, with officers then helping to evacuate the rest.

The two injured parties were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

Police say the suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving.

A number of witnesses were interviewed by police, with evidence also taken from the scene. Nobody is in custody at this time.

The shooting comes just 6 weeks after a woman was killed in a late-night stabbing in the same block of the Minneapolis theater district, albeit the incident happened at street level.
