Charges: Former Chanhassen principal had 127 child porn videos and photos

The 44-year-old is facing 10 more felony counts of having child porn.

A former Chanhassen High School principal is facing more charges after investigators announced Thursday he had even more child pornography videos than initially reported.

In December, 44-year-old Timothy Dorway was charged with seven felony counts for having at least 11 videos of pornography involving 11 to 13-year-old girls. He resigned from his position at the school soon after.

The new charges add 10 more counts of possession for having 127 pornographic videos and images involving children.

Dorway has previously admitted he gets Dropbox links of child porn videos from others and would sometimes upload them to his own Dropbox account, according to the complaint. Officials said the 44-year-old added he prefers 11 to 13-year-old girls. However, the latest complaint notes investigators found videos and images involving boys and girls much younger.

Most of the 17 counts have a 10-year prison sentence and/or a $10,000 fine. One has a five-year sentence and/or $5,000 fine.

According to the Star Tribune, started teaching in 1995. He's also worked at Park High School in Cottage Grove, Owatonna High School and Rochester Public Schools.

His next court appearance is set for April 10.
