Charges: Hibbing elementary teacher sent 4 kids nude photos of himself

He allegedly used Snapchat to send the images.

An elementary school teacher in Hibbing is accused of sending four kids nude photos of himself via Snapchat.

Jordan Michael Kochevar, 27, is charged in St. Louis County with four counts of distributing via electronic communication that relates/describes sexual conduct to a child in connection to the June 15 incident, the Mesabi Daily News reports

Kochevar is listed as a sixth-grade teacher on the Lincoln Elementary School's website and, according to KBJR 6, he has been placed on administrative leave while the district conducts its own investigation.

KBJR, citing court documents, reports on Saturday, June 20, Hibbing police received a voicemail regarding an image sent to 10-year-old child via a group Snapchat from JKOCHEVAR1992. The image was of a man showing "complete frontal nudity from the chin downward."

A video from the same Snapchat user showed a bare-chested man lowering the camera to his boxers, and then the man exposes himself, KBJR says.

Kochevar spoke with investigators on Tuesday at which point he told them he was drunk on Monday, June 15, when he sent the inappropriate messages.

According to KBJR, Kochevar is accused of sending these images to four juveniles, all under the age of 16.

As of Friday afternoon, he had not been arrested, Mesabi Daily News said.
