A St. Paul man has been charged with the rape of a woman he'd just met in St. Paul last May.
The 28-year-old named President Pimpin Austin has been charged with 1st-degree criminal sexual conduct over the assault that left his alleged victim in hospital.
The victim told police she'd met Austin, who introduced himself as "Chris Page" on May 30, and while they were parked in her car in the area of Reaney and Johnson Parkway, he grabbed her car keys from the ignition and her cellphone.
He then punched her in the face multiple times, causing her to lose consciousness. She told police that he then forced her in the back seat of the car and proceeded to rape her.
Austin was arrested five days later, originally providing the same false name of Chris Page.
He asked to speak to an attorney, prompting the interview to be terminated. He was later identified by the victim during a lineup.
A sperm sample taken from the victim during a sexual assault test provided a DNA match with Austin.
Austin has a criminal history including criminal damage, malicious punishment of a child, and domestic assault.
