A St. Cloud man accused of killing a Blaine woman in his St. Cloud home told police he had been ordered to do it by God.

Daniel Kenning, 38, arrived at a St. Cloud police station on Sunday morning and told officers he had just killed someone.

When officers arrived at his house, they found the body of 45-year-old Jennifer Lee Moy, of Blaine, who appeared to have been strangled to death.

According to a criminal complaint, Kenning said he'd picked Moy up from her house the previous evening and drove her back to his. They had previously met at a wedding and had communicated since via Facebook Messenger.

He then said in the early hours of Saturday morning, he handcuffed Moy to a table and then strangled her.

"The defendant informed Investigator Peters that God had told him he needed to kill someone and that he would be able to resurrect them," the complaint says.

"The defendant was 'supposed to' kill [Moy]. the previous weekend when he was with her, but he could not do it at that time," it adds.

Kenning is currently being held in Stearns County Jail on $2 million bail, or $1 million with conditions.

He has been charged with 2nd degree murder.
