Surly Brewing's highly anticipated "destination brewery" is finally opening its doors.

The beer hall opens to the public at 11 a.m. Friday. The brewery will be pouring more than a dozen of its different craft beers and will also be offering a full food menu, according to Surly's website.

The Star Tribune noted the five things to be excited about with Surly's new brewery opening, including the outdoor areas, the food, the easy access to public transit, the added jobs and the beer (obviously).

The $30 million complex will also feature a 100-seat high-end restaurant, a two-acre beer garden with outdoor seating, and an events center – all of which will open at a later date, reports note. It will also be offering tours.

When the complex is fully operational, it'll fill more than 100,000 barrels of beer annually – triple of the original Brooklyn Center brewery, the Star Tribune says.

For those attending the brewery's opening this weekend, Metro Transit is offering free rides on its bus or light rail lines.

The brewery is located between Westgate Drive and Prospect Park on the Green Line, the Pioneer Press reports. It will be open seven days a week.

Surly has changed the craft beer industry in Minnesota. Since the "Surly Bill" passed in 2011, craft breweries have been allowed to serve pints of beer at their breweries. This paved the way for the craft beer boom – there are now over 70 breweries in the state, reports note – and allowed Surly to build its new destination brewery.

And just a decade after the dream of Surly Brewing came to life, it will begin distributing outside Minnesota.
