The bus belongs to Tutor Time, which released a statement after the crash.

"This morning, one of our buses was involved in an accident with another vehicle near Crestview Elementary. Seven school-age children were onboard our bus at the time. Our driver evacuated the children from the bus immediately, with assistance from the Crestview staff. First responders arrived quickly and assessed the children’s condition. One child was taken to the hospital for treatment of a minor injury. The driver was also taken in for medical evaluation. The rest of the children were unharmed and transported to classes at their elementary schools. We’ve notified all the families of those involved.

"Nothing is more important to us than our children’s safety. We’d like to thank the responders as well as the staff at both Crestview Elementary and Newport Elementary for their assistance."

The Cottage Grove Police Department is investigating.
