A 12-year-old boy was killed in a crash on Interstate 90 in southern Minnesota late Tuesday night.
According to a State Patrol crash report, a 48-year-old Des Moines man was driving a Chevy Silverado eastbound on I-90 when he went into the left ditch, crossed both eastbound lanes of traffic and rolled the vehicle in the south ditch.
The boy, also from Des Moines, died in the crash. The child's name has not been released.
The driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Marys Hospital at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. His current condition is unknown.
The crash happened near mile post 140 in Foster Township, Faribault County.
