Child found in shallow water near a dock airlifted to Twin Cities hospital

An unresponsive child was pulled from the water in central Minnesota on Monday. 

The Crow Wing County Sheriff's office says emergency workers responded to a call of a child in the water at Rush Lake in the Crosslake area at 10:02 a.m. 

The child was found near a dock in 2-3 feet of water by a parent and CPR was performed. 

Rescuers airlifted the child to the University of Minnesota Children's Hospital where it was placed in the intensive care unit.

Update on child found in Eagan pool

Eagan police provided an update on a child that was pulled unresponsive from a pool in Eagan last week, saying the child is in serious condition and being cared for at Gillette Children's Hospital in St. Paul.
