Child killed in SUV rollover, alcohol suspected

Alcohol is suspected as a factor in crash involving a woman who rolled her SUV in southern Minnesota Sunday, killing a 6-year-old boy, one of three children in the vehicle, WCCO and the Star Tribune report.

The 8 a.m. crash happened on Highway 4 near Fairmont, State Patrol officials say.

A 4-year-old was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and a 9-year-old was slightly hurt, authorities say. The driver, a 26-year-old woman from Fairmont, was seriously hurt and hospitalized in Rochester, WCCO reported.

Officials suspect she had been drinking prior to the crash.
