Cirrus in midst of hiring spree for new personal jet project
Duluth-based Cirrus Aircraft has hired about 50 engineers, designers and technicians in the past six months as the development of its Vision Jet moves into high gear, the News Tribune reports.
“We’re hiring, without question,” Cirrus spokesman Todd Simmons told the newspaper.
According to the company's website, Cirrus is seeking more than 60 additional specialists including engineers, drafters, technicians, planners and designers.
The new single-engine personal jet, which was unveiled in 2008, seats five adults and two children. It's set to roll off the production line in 2015.
