Cities that have watering restrictions amid ongoing drought

Many cities have implemented odd-even watering days.

Several cities in the Twin Cities metro and elsewhere across the state have implemented water restrictions amid the serious drought conditions across Minnesota. 

Among them: 

Carver: The city has odd-even lawn watering schedule (odd-numbered houses can water on odd-numbered days, even on even).

Dayton: The city implemented odd-even lawn watering, and residents are not allowed to water between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Eden Prairie: The city always has an odd-even lawn watering schedule.

Edina: The city implemented odd-even lawn watering, and residents are not allowed to water between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Golden Valley: The city implemented odd-even lawn watering.

Hastings: Emergency water use restrictions are in place, including implementing odd-even lawn watering, and people can't water from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Lino Lakes: The city implemented odd-even lawn watering and asks residents not to water between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Maple Grove: The city implemented odd-even lawn watering and prohibits lawn watering from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. 

Minneapolis: The city implemented odd-even lawn watering "until further notice," and no watering between noon and 6 p.m. on any day. Exceptions are in place for plant and bush watering, as well as vegetable gardens and new sod.

New Hope: The city implemented odd-even lawn watering.

Plymouth: The city always has an odd-even lawn watering schedule.

Roseville: The city is encouraging odd-even lawn watering, and asking residents to limit outdoor watering to before noon or after 6 p.m.

St. Cloud: The city is encouraging people to limit lawn watering to once or twice a week. 

St. Paul: The city is encouraging odd-even lawn watering.

Woodbury: The city implemented odd-even lawn watering and asks residents not to water between noon and 5 p.m.
