Democrats flocked to St. Cloud State University Sunday night to see former President Bill Clinton at a rally for President Barack Obama, the St. Cloud Times reported.

The paper said Obama's Minnesota campaign estimated the crowd at about 4,000 inside and outside the event venue.

Those who couldn't get into the rally weren't completely left out in the cold. The Times said Clinton stopped to greet them as he made his way in.

Also at the SCSU rally was Democratic congressional candidate Jim Graves, who debated with Republican U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann earlier in the day, as well as Sen. Al Franken.

"We're coming down to the end of this campaign, but there's still votes to be gotten, people to be persuaded," Clinton said at the SCSU rally, reported the Star Tribune.

The Clinton event came just hours after Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan held a rally for presidential candidate Mitt Romney at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
