State health officials are investigating a cluster of COVID-19 cases tied to a camp in Otter Tail County.

"We’re aware of a cluster of cases and the investigation is ongoing," MDH spokesperson Erin McHenry told Bring Me The News but did not provide further details.

KVRR says the cases can be tied to the Castaway Club Young Life Camp on Pelican Lake. Camp manager Greg Johnson told the publication he's aware of 10 COVID-19 cases involving staff members over the past two weeks but no new cases have been reported within the past week.

Bring Me The News has reached out to the camp for comment.

It's unclear how many campers contracted COVID-19 because the cases may have been reported in other states, Johnson told KVRR, noting campers typically come from 10 Midwestern states.

The camp's website lists various COVID-19 precautions it's taking for the summer, including screening campers, hosting activities and meals outside whenever possible, and enhanced cleaning and sanitization.

Campers were also instructed to bring a double-layer face mask.
