Coborn's now offers a next-day, DIY meal delivery service

A Minnesota-based grocery chain officially has its own meal delivery service now.

Coborn's recently launched To the Table Fresh Meal Kits. You just go to the website, pick a meal, and all the ingredients will be shipped straight to your door.

It's kind of like the more well-known services Blue Apron, Local Crate or Homegrown Foods.

Except unlike those services, To the Table isn't subscription-based. There's no particular delivery date. You just pick what you want, how much you want, and you'll get it in as little as one day.

Coborns' meals are also designed to be quicker and easier to make. So parts of the meal come premixed – or even prepared. Like there's a potato salad that comes ready to eat, a premixed potato medley, and guacamole.

The other services typically require the customer to make everything from scratch. So which service you choose really depends on whether you want convenience or to practice your cooking skills.

Right now, you can choose from eight meals – like burgers and corn on the cob ($19), steak and potatoes ($29), and Margherita pizzas ($17). The meals are all in that price range.

It's an addition to CorbornsDelivers which services the Twin Cities metro area.

Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal says Coborn's will switch up the menu throughout the year. The next change will be in September.
