From the National Weather Service office in Chanhassen:

Clouds will gradually increase from west to east throughout the day as an area of low pressure moves across the area. A cold front following the low will push through the area tonight, bringing in much colder air to the area along with stronger northwest winds. Areas of rain will develop late tonight into Saturday which will then mix with and change over to snow by late Saturday and continue into Saturday evening before tapering off early Sunday morning. Little to no snow accumulation is expected. Skies then clear out Sunday with dry and cold conditions expected for the first half of next week.
